Another Timothy Taylor beer following on from my Landlord
post the other day. A return to five a side football following a break for
Christmas led to a return to the Compton Arms. As ubiquitous as Timothy Taylor’s
Landlord is, I’ve never actually noticed any other beers available from the
brewery in all of my pub going years. Landlord is so good that a pint of Golden
Best seemed the obvious choice at the bar. This was a different beast to the
Landlord but good nonetheless. It pours a lovely clear gold and is strong on the malt which gives it a sweet biscuitiness. It's not going to blow anyones mind but it's a solid pint and at 3.5% it's a good mid-week beer!
Brewery: Timothy Taylor's
Country: United Kingdom
