Beer #256 - Signature Brew Red Wedge

Signature Brew was set up by three blokes inspired by the lack of decent beer in gig venues. I've been vaguely aware of them thanks to their collaborations with musicians Frank Turner and Professor Green but until Friday night, I'd not tried one of their beers. Red Wedge pours a reddish amber colour with a white head. The aroma is qite promising and dominated by the malt with caramel and toffee aromas with a hint of the citrus bitterness to come. Its a medium-bodied beer but for me it's overly bitter with a strong pine and bitter citrus fruit flavours and a very dry finish. Not particularly drinkable this one unfortunately and it's not as well balanced as the aroma suggests.
