Following on from yesterdays post this is another pretty cool label on this beer from Brasserie de la Bières des Naufrageurs in France. I've previously featured another brewery from this beer and
explained the donkey reference then so won't go into it again. As the name suggests there caramel presence was strong in this one. The beer poured a dark, murky brown but was actually quite tasty (certainly more so than it appeared). The nose gave a strong caramel/toffee aroma and the flavour too was rich caramel with some fruity hints, kind of like a Belgian ale but lacking much complexity. Went down quite nicely though.
