Beer #112 - St Peter's Best Bitter

Last Friday I went to a house party so I went to the excellent Budgens store on Upper Street, Islington to pick up a selection of beers. The shop has a really excellent range particularly when it comes to London breweries, well worth checking out. The first beer I picked out was from one of my favourites breweries, St Peter's. This Best Bitter pours a beautiful deep amber. It's a really great bitter, full-bodied with a bit of fruitiness and some caramel notes in there too, nice and malty. Despite the ever-growing explosion of new beers and breweries up and down the country it's hard to be a decent bitter. A+!
