Beer #83 - King's Parade

Last weekend I went to Cambridge for the day to watch my football team, Hereford United, play away at Cambridge United. I’d read about the Cambridge Brew House online before I went and headed there for lunch and some beer. Recently opened, the pub is huge and markedly different to a lot of London’s specialist beer pubs. They seem to have bridged the gap between gastro pub and beer specialist very cleverly. They serve excellent food made with locally sourced ingredients and also have a big screen showing live sport as well as serving a superb range of beers from the UK and the rest of the world. Oh, and they also brew their own beer on site. King’s Parade is one of those beers and was the first I tried. Labelled a ‘classic best bitter’ it is a fairly inoffensive yet unexciting English bitter. Nice enough but nothing to write home about unfortunately. I tried a couple more beers which will feature in subsequent posts…

Brewery: Cambridge Brewing Company
Country: United Kingdom
ABV: 3.8%
