Beer #96 - Camden Hells Lager

My final choice on Monday was a pint of Camden Town Brewery’s Hells Lager. I wouldn’t usually choose a lager (for which read: ever) when in a pub but I fancied trying something different, so here I was. I’ve had a lot of generic, mostly foreign, lagers in my time so I was interested to see what a highly-regarded, small-scale brewery did with lager. Now I know even less about lager than I do about other beer but according to the blurb this combines Helles and Pilsener. It was…interesting. I certainly wouldn’t drink it regularly but compared to mass-produced lager this is a clear winner.
