Another one at the Gunmakers in Clerkenwell. I went for a
half of East London Breweries Quadrant Stour for the road, which was so good
that it turned into a whole pint. Quadrant is an Oatmeal Stout and produced by another
new-to-me London brewery. ELB
was founded in 2011 in East London by a husband and wife who decided to
quit their dayjobs and live the dream. Sounds good to me. The stout was
delicious, it poured an opaque black and came with a lovely sweetness
that you
might expect from an oatmeal stout. Some good toasted malt in there too
giving some coffee flavour. This is a very good indeed and rounded off
an
excellent evening of beer nicely.
