Beer #360 - BrewDog Hop Fiction

This beer is part of BrewDog's 2014 'Prototype' series - a number of beers that get released to test the water, allowing people to vote for their favourites which could then go into full production. Hop Fiction is an IPA brewed with Chinook, Amarillo and Mosaic hops but it's lacking the punch that you'd expect from a BrewDog beer. It has a nice floral, fruity aroma and some nice tropical fruit flavours but on the whole it's just very, very underwhelming. I've nodoubt that BrewDog make better IPAs than this (this pales in comparison to Punk, even) and in an increasingly competitive marketplace it's hard to see a place for this one without some significant changes to the recipe.
