Beer #43 - Dark Star Hophead

You can generally rely on the Old Red Lion in Kennington to have something good available and they came through in style again on my last visit. I started off with a Dark Star Hophead. If you like ale and haven’t tried any of Dark Star’s offerings you’ve probably been either living under a rock or wilfully ignoring them. If it’s the latter then take a long hard look in the mirror then get to the pub. Hophead seems to be their most commonly stocked beer and it’s easy to see why. It’s a big bold beer that belies it’s 3.8% ABV. A lovely clear golden ale that is extremely hard to resist, probably one of the most drinkable ales in existence. Lovely.
Brewery: Dark Star Brewing Co.
Country: United Kingdom
ABV: 3.8%
