Beer #78 - Club Colombia

One of the best things about living in London with its incredible mix of communities is the availability of food and drink from around the world. In the area of south London where I live there is a large South American population. This bottle was actually a present from a friend of my girlfriend who frequents one of the Colombian cafes near my local railway station. Club Colombia is brewed in Colombia (unsurprisingly) by the country’s largest brewery and has been since 1949. Going by the label it is imported to Europe by a company in Madrid and is then presumably distributed across the continent (or at least as far as London). As was to be expected it’s a fairly generic lager but by no means a bad one. I found it quite watery and the flavours aren’t overly strong, but to someone that doesn’t really like lager that’s a good thing and I actually really enjoyed this one, very refreshing.

Brewery: Grupo Empresarial Bavaria (SABMiller)
