This is another bottle I picked up at Budgens in Islington. Adventure
is a small brewery set up by a couple of friends in Surrey. The brewery’s core
range of four beers take their names from the points of the compass. Although
this is described as an amber ale it’s arguably more like a best bitter. It
pours a dark amber/light brown, the roasted malts really take centre stage and
give the beer a lovely light caramel flavour with the hops reduced to a hint.
It’s a reasonably good beer and I also picked up a bottle of ‘South’ which will
feature in a future post. My only complaint would be the level of carbonation,
it came out slightly fizzy which was a bit odd. Good nonetheless.
Country: United Kingdom
ABV: 4.5%
