Beer #205 - Mayfields Ducking Stool

Another barbecue beer and another from Mayfields Brewery in Leominster. The last recorded use of the ducking stool famously took place inLeominster in 1809 hence the name of the beer (presumably). The stool itself is kept in the town’s priory should you ever be in the vicinity and wish to visit. The beer pours a nice amber colour and has a good bitter hoppy aroma. It’s quite light in the mouth and thus perfect for a summer’s day. Flavour is fruity orange and its slightly bitter on the finish. Probably not going to be an award winner but I wouldn’t mind having a few of these around for the summer.

Brewery: Mayfields Brewery
